UX Philosophy
I tend to focus on empathy and insights above all else. Even coming from a visual design background I value having a really functional ugly design vs a visually beautiful but nonfunctional design.
I am most excited about that moment when you realize how you can improve something in a creative way for the user. I will always be searching for those moments to improve peoples lives.
Personally...
I’m big into learning and consider myself a life long learner, which essentially you have to be nowadays in the tech industry. Lectures are fun and I believe you can get something out of everyone you go to. I know a little bit about a lot of things, as far as hobbies go. I’m into karaoke and trivia nights at dive bars, going to random events throughout Seattle, playing board games and the occasional video game. I’m into deep conversations with friends and although I love project planning in the workplace, I love having unplanned weekends to see where the day takes me. I also enjoy breaking stereotypes of what people perceive me to be.
