Solution

This typeface was created in 2012 and was based on wood and lead setting type. I wanted to combine the transitional style but modify this style to implement a cross between san serif and slab serif. This leaves the type feeling much like a san serif with details of a slab serif coming off at sometimes unusual locations. Ehart is a condensed display typeface, which works well with posters, brochures, and advertisements. The geometric, square shape gives the playful elements a somewhat more serious structure to create a pleasing juxtaposition.
